Launch Guide 5 · Sermon Library
Sunday ends. The sermon should not.
Every week your sermon becomes a full week of learning, talking and doing. Multiply builds it. Your team sends people to it. We expect your Library to be launched when two weeks go out back to back.
Start here
Which one are you?
Pick your part. You will see only what you need.
Your job: about 15 minutes a week
You send this week's sermon to your people. The Builder writes the drafts. You make them yours.
- Monday morning: an email tells you the new sermon is ready.
- Open the Builder and sign in with your access code the first time on a device.
- Choose where you send, tap Write my send-out, and edit anything.
- Send it yourself by Tuesday, from your own email, phone or page. Then tap I sent it. The Builder never sends anything for you.
Your job: one 20 minute session
You help the distributor and the sponsor see how the weekly rhythm works. Walk the deck together in one sitting. The notes tell whoever leads what to say and ask.
Why this matters
About 90 percent of a sermon is forgotten within seven days. Multiply calls it Disciple Drift. We expect the Library to give your people a reason and a place to keep going: the message made simple, a question to talk about, and one step to take. Multiply builds the page each week. Your team sends people to it, because guests and online viewers will not find it unless someone sends them.
Your part is small: mention the page from the front once a month, and read one short summary from your team on day 14.
What is inside
Everything your team needs
Three files, one session. Open them here, or download them to print.
Launch checklist
Tick each box from before day 0 to day 14. Page 2 shows how the Builder works, with starter text if it is ever down.
Team deck
For the distributor, the backup and the sponsor. Walk it together in one sitting.
Leader notes
What to say, what to ask, and how long to take on each slide.
The gap it closes
A full week, not one hour
Multiply calls it Disciple Drift: about 90 percent of a sermon is forgotten within seven days. We expect the Library to give people a reason and a place to keep going.
The message, made simple
A short, plain version of Sunday's message, ready on a phone.
A question to talk about
Something to bring to the table, the group or a text thread.
One step to take
A person can commit to one action on the page.
Who it serves
Three kinds of people, one page
Your send-out reaches all three.
Guests and online viewers
Watched online or visited once. They get the message on a page that works on a phone, with a clear next step. They will not find it unless you send them.
Members
The Sunday crowd who want it to stick. They get the week: learn it, talk about it, commit to one step.
Group leaders
Every sermon page carries a handout, an activity sheet and facilitator slides, so a leader can run a session.
The weekly rhythm
One week, one loop
Multiply builds it. You send people to it.
Keep it public, with the same title format each week.
Live in the Library, then an email to you
Multiply pulls it from YouTube automatically. You never send us a file. When it is ready, your distributor gets an email that says: Your send-out is ready.
Open the Builder, edit, send, tap I sent it
About 15 minutes. The Builder has already written the church email, social post, text and app drafts. Your tap on I sent it is the log.
Reshare the post
The Builder writes a short reshare. Add one line of your own about what struck you.
The send-out
The Builder writes it. You make it yours.
Pick the channels your church already uses. The Send-Out Builder writes this week's message for each one from the real sermon. Add one sentence in your own voice. Starter text is on page 2 of the checklist if the Builder is ever down.
Church email
Monday or Tuesday, to members and guests. Put the link in the first two lines.
Social post
Same day. Pin it to the page or the live stream.
Text message
One text, one link, no reply needed.
Church app
A short notification that links to this week's page.
Try it
See a send-out before you have a code
A made up church and a made up sermon. Pick where it goes, change the tone, and add a sentence of your own.
Open it
Tap the button in the Monday email, or go to multiplymission.org/sendout. Type your church's access code the first time on a device.
Choose
This week's sermon is already loaded. Tick the channels you use and tap Write my send-out. Shorter and Warmer are one tap away.
Send
Copy it or open it in email or text, and send it yourself. The Builder never sends for you. Then tap I sent it on that channel.
Already have your code? Open the Builder
Your team
Three people, three small jobs
Two or three people are enough. Name them before day 0.
Distributor
Opens the Builder each week, edits the drafts, sends by Tuesday, and taps I sent it. About 15 minutes a week.
Backup
Sends it when the distributor is away. Has the access code and knows how to open the Builder.
Sponsor
The pastor or a staff leader. Mentions the page from the front once a month and reads one short summary on day 14.
The timeline
Your first weeks
From delivered, to launched, to established.
Hand off the Builder
Multiply reads the distributor and the backup the access code. Open the Builder on a phone, sign in, and make this week's send-out together. Choose the channels.
Send the first one
Open the Monday email, edit the drafts, send them, and tap I sent it on each one.
Check and report
Did the first two weeks go out? Tell the sponsor one thing a guest or member did.
Launched
All four checks below pass. Starter churches have 21 days from delivery, Growth churches 28.
The rhythm holds
The send-out runs without Multiply doing the work. Established is day 60 after launch for Starter and day 90 for Growth.
The launch test
Launched means four things
All four, and the Library is launched.
Owner
A distributor and a backup, both named and walked through it.
Entry point
The channels are chosen and the weekly send day is set.
First use
A real person, not the team, started this week's sermon.
Loop closed
Two weeks in a row sent on time, by Tuesday, on the chosen channels.
On the Growth plan? One more check.
- Leadership Layer. Open this week's sermon page, find the guides link, and confirm the handout, activity sheet and facilitator slides all open. Then name one or two group leaders and make sure they have the link.
- Timing. The Growth launch window is 28 days from delivery.
Questions
Common questions
Someone who already has access to the church email list and the social pages, and who can be counted on by Tuesday. It is rarely the pastor. An administrator, a communications volunteer or a ministry assistant works well. Name a backup too.
No. Multiply pulls each sermon from your YouTube channel on Monday and builds the experience. Keep the video public, and keep the title format the same each week.
Tell Multiply before you send anything out. Then send once it is fixed. Sending a link to a page that is not ready costs trust. If a sermon goes up late, the Monday email comes whenever the sermon is ready, Monday to Saturday between 8am and 8pm Eastern, and never on a Sunday.
The Builder already has it. This week's sermon is loaded and the link is placed in every draft for you. If you are writing by hand, open the Library, tap the sermon and copy its link. Send it to yourself and open it on a phone first.
A page, just for your church, that writes this week's church email, social post, text, app notification and Wednesday reshare from the real sermon. You edit, send and tap I sent it. It gives you a first draft, not a finished message, so add a sentence only you can say.
No. It only writes the drafts. You send them yourself from your own email, phone, social page or church app. Then you tap I sent it, which only tells your team and Multiply that it went out. Nothing reaches your members from the Builder.
The church keeps it, ideally in its password manager. Multiply reads it to the distributor and backup on the Day 0 call and never sends it by email. If someone leaves the role, tell Multiply. We issue a new code and the old one stops working.
Tap Shorter or Warmer, or edit it yourself. Nothing is sent until you send it. If the Builder is down, the starter text on page 2 of the checklist still works.
No. The church email is the one every church sends. Write "none" on the checklist for the rest. Do not start a new channel just for this.
Send it as soon as you can and tap I sent it. The Library keeps every sermon, so a late send still works. If the launch window passes, a person from Multiply checks in and you choose: a new date, a smaller version, or a pause.
Only your Lounge prayer receiver and the backup, by email. The request is not saved in Multiply, and Multiply sees counts, not names or words.
Not someone who sends a prayer request. Other features, such as a mid-week reminder on a sermon page, email a person only if they type an email address on purpose. The one email Multiply sends on a schedule goes to your distributor and backup, at the addresses you gave us. It has the sermon title and the Builder link and nothing else.
Starter is delivered within 7 days of Multiply having everything from you, and Growth within 14 days. The launch window then runs 21 days for Starter and 28 days for Growth.
If it stalls
Behind? That happens. Here is the plan.
It is usually the distributor's time, not the product. A person from Multiply checks in three days before your window ends, and calls at the end if you have not launched. You choose one of three paths.
Set a new date
Pick a first send date that fits the distributor's real calendar. We hold you to it kindly.
Shrink the scope
Launch the smallest version that passes the test: the church email, every week, on the same day.
Pause, with a date
Stop for now and name the day we revisit. After two missed windows we pause and record why.
Before you call us, check these. Is the distributor named? Is the sermon public on YouTube by Monday morning? Did the Monday email arrive, and is Tuesday on someone's calendar? Does the backup have the access code and know how to open the Builder?
Name your three people. Pick your send day. Then open the checklist.
One session, one rhythm, and your sermon reaches the people who need it.
