Launch Guide 2 · New Member Journey

The Front Door

Every newcomer gets a path and a person. Here is how your team launches the New Member Journey in about two weeks, without it landing on one person's shoulders. We expect it to be launched when a real newcomer uses it and a person at your church follows up within 72 hours.

Which one are you?

Pick your part. You will see only what you need.

Your job: about 10 minutes a week, plus follow-up

You are the person newcomers hear from. Name a backup before day 0.

  1. Receive every notice, every bookingevery first reflection and every finished SHAPE lands in your email.
  2. Run the weekly check, ten minutes, same time every week. Who is new, who has not heard from a person, who has gone quiet.
  3. Contact each newcomer within 72 hours. A real person, by call, text or in person.
  4. Write one sentence in the log about what changed this week.

Your first 7 days

Three moves in the first week

The clock starts when all your inputs are in. We expect the first week to decide how the second goes.

1

Handoff call by day 3 to 7

Multiply delivers within 7 days of your inputs and holds a 30 minute call with your owner and sponsor. Live: a 30 minute leader prep call by day 3 after delivery.

2

Invite people by name

You invite people in person, and the link is on a card or a screen. Invite three people this week.

How it works

One journey, two ways to offer it

Your pastor and leaders choose the format and the length in the scoping call. Pick one to see what it looks like for your team.

What newcomers do

  • Book a session on your own booking link.
  • Meet with a leader, session by session. We suggest 6 weeks at most, and you decide.
  • Your ministry leader joins the last session.
  • Watch short videos on their own time.
  • Write a short reflection after each step.
  • Finish with SHAPE, and say where they want to serve.

Day 45Day 30 after launch is the established check. Launch is within 14 days of delivery.

What your team gets

  • Every booking sends an email to the owner of the booking link.
  • After each session, the leader compares bookings to who came and tells the owner who was missing. You keep that in your own roster.
  • A 30 minute leader prep call with Multiply by day 3 after delivery.
  • Your owner gets an email when the first reflection arrives, and again when SHAPE is complete.
  • A ministry connector follows up within 7 days on anyone who wants to serve.
  • Progress is saved in the newcomer's own browser, so ask before you assume someone stalled.

The weekly rhythm

A person, every week

The path is built for you. The follow-through is yours, and it is small and steady.

Try it

Run the weekly check in a minute

Four made up newcomers. Pick the day, then tap I called as you reach each one. Anyone past 72 hours with no call needs one today. Nothing is saved.

The weekly check is ten minutes, same time every week. The owner leads it and writes one sentence in the log about what changed.

Your timeline

Delivered, launched, established

Three stages, and each one has a clear owner.

Multiply · by day 7

Delivered

We build it in your brand, test it end to end, and hold a 30 minute handoff call with your owner and sponsor.

Your church · within 14 days

Launched

A real newcomer used it, and a person at your church followed up. You pass the four-part test below.

Your church · the rhythm holds

Established

The weekly check happens without reminders. After launch, we check in by call or email.

The clock starts when all your inputs are in. If you are not launched by day 14, Multiply calls and you choose: a new date, a smaller scope, or a pause.

The launch test

Four things have to be true

If you can say yes to all four, you are launched.

1

Owner

One named person gets the notices and runs the weekly check, with a backup named.

2

Entry point

You invite people in person, and the link is on a card or a screen.

Your team

Two or three people, plus a backup

Owner

Receives every notice, contacts newcomers, runs the weekly check.

Session leaderMinistry connector

Hosts each session and tells the owner the same day who was missing.Follows up within 7 days with anyone who wants to serve.

Sponsor

Your pastor or a staff member. Clears the way and says yes to the rhythm.

Our promises to newcomers

People, not automation

They choose

Nobody is pushed. They decide how and when you reach them.

You ask first

Consent comes before contact.

A real person

Anything a newcomer receives comes from someone at your church.

Multiply never emails or texts your guests or members by itself.

If it stalls

Missing a window is not failing.

It happens at most churches. Start with the first move.

No one is bookingNo one is starting

Check the entry point. Is the link visible, and did anyone invite a person by name this week? Invite three people in person.

A notice did not arrive

Check the spam folder and the email that receives your notices. Then tell your Multiply contact the same day.

Someone went quiet

Reach out once, warmly, within 72 hours. Ask first, since their progress lives in their browser.Do not stack messages.

Owner overwhelmed? Call the backup first. Then tell Multiply. You will not be left alone with it.

Questions

What churches ask us

Live sessions fit churches that want a leader in the room with newcomers. Async fits churches that want newcomers to move at their own pace. Your pastor and leaders decide, along with the length, in the scoping call.
Multiply delivers within 7 days of receiving everything it needs. Then you have 14 days to launch. For live, the first session date should fall within those 14 days.
No. Multiply never emails or texts guests or members by itself. Any message a newcomer gets comes from a person at your church.
Activity, like bookings or completed reflections. Only your own records confirm that a person was contacted, joined, or returned, so we ask you to write those down.
Someone who is reachable by email, cares about people, and can spend about 10 minutes a week plus follow-up time. Always name a backup.
Multiply calls at the end of day 14. You choose a new date, a smaller scope, or a pause. After two missed windows, we pause.
No. Multiply builds your booking link or your form and notice setup in your brand, and tests it before handoff.
